Protesters regather, this time on Big Green proper, demanding Bear Building leave the field intact. On Tuesday, over three-hundred residents of Hatton found a place on the field to occupy, announcing they wouldn't leave until construction slated to begin the following day be canceled.

Representative from Bear Building Wilson Arles approached the protesters at 2 PM and requested they leave the premises. After being rebuffed several times, the police were called to resolve the situation. However, due to the massive crowd gathered at the Green, it was impossible for law enforcement to do anything.

It was several hours later that Arles came to the protesters with a deal. For many activists, the source of hesitation in regards to the construction is the lack of information. The goal of this project has been an unknown factor for all except those who instigated it. Arles promised a public announcement in the coming weeks as well as a delay in production until then. That, however, was not enough to sway the protesters. After a heated debate, it was settled that a city forum would be held instead wherein essential information regarding the project will be revealed and the citizens of Hatton will be able to argue for the Safety of Big Green.

This open forum will be hosted by the city on Monday, May 18. Anyone is welcome to observe and speak.
