People Watching

It's a little presumptuous to say I know everyone in Hatton...but I know everyone in Hatton. I can recognize everyone who lives here. I mean, there are only two grocery stores in the city and I've worked at both.

Anyway, I thought I'd scope out any new faces in area. If an outside influencer is the one behind the purchase of the Big Green, they must be in town. They must be staying at one of the B&Bs around town. So that means they'll be at the Strip for lunch and dinner.

On Wednesday after school, I sat by the fountain for a few hours to see if anyone blipped on my radar.

Unfortunately, I didn't see much. Everything was going as usual. However, I saw Ms. Lawson, the co-director of the Parks Department, speaking to someone I didn't know. The man didn't look out of place (he was dressed like your average Hattonian); I just didn't recognize his face. If he is local, obviously he's never been grocery shopping before, which is concerning on its own.

More research is necessary. What are the odds that I can get Ms. Lawson to tell me about this guy?
